A few months ago, HVMN reached out and sent me some samples of their [unflavored] Keto Collagen+ and [chocolate] MCT Oil powder.I will say right off the bat that I didn’t like the MCT powder oil too much.
MCT oil has been shown to increase the release of two hormones that promote the feeling of fullness. This can be beneficial, especially if you are trying to lose weight.
It did keep me full when I took it – for hours. But since weight loss isn’t my goal, I am not really looking for a product to suppress my appetite.
Your body can use the MCT oil as an instant source of energy.
If you are following a Keto diet, the MCT oil may help.
MCTs can be converted into ketones, so taking the MCT oil can help you stay in that fat burning state known as “ketosis.”Personally, I am not a fan of the Keto diet.
I have had many issues with my hormones regulation post pregnancies. If you have an hormonal issues, it is not recommended that you do the Keto diet as too few carbs can cause more of an imbalance than you may already have.
Of course, always consult with your doctor when trying out any new diet.
As far as the Keto Collagen goes, I did notice a difference in my joints and some in my hair. I have been hearing a ton about taking a collagen supplement, so when I received the Keto Collegen+, I was excited to give it a try.I tried to mix it into my coffee in the morning and I just did not like the oily taste (since it does have a bit if MCT oil).
But I found that putting it in my oatmeal or mixing it into a smoothie was perfect.
As we age, our collagen production decreases.
There is different research in terms of the benefits of taking collagen powder. Some research suggest it helps with joint health. If you did’t know, I had hip and knee surgery when I was 14 and 15 years old.
Long story short, this surgery was to prevent me from having arthritis at 20 and would help to postpone it as long as possible.
Since taking the collagen powder, I noticed a difference in my joints the next day after an intense workout. I don’t feel as much pain and I found that I have been able to lift heavier as well.My hair seems healthier as well, although some research suggest that taking collagen powder doesn’t do much for hair, skin and nails.
Either way it seems like the collagen powder is very beneficial for bone and joint health. Something that I really need, especially having had that hip and knee surgery over ten years ago.
I know I will have arthritis at some point, but I am hoping to postpone it as much as possible; I just need to make sure I keep my joints healthy and strong.
HVMN has a ton of products to help you out with your health and fitness goals. As for me, The Keto Collegan+ is something I definitely recommend and will be continuing using myself.
