Week Recap.

I had all intentions for this past weekend to be super productive, but life happened.

I got really sick late afternoon on Friday and it just spilled into the weekend. I even ended up not working out for four days straight; that is something that has not happened since I was about a month postpartum after having the twins.

I was so glad that I was able to get some decluttering early Friday morning. 20191115_110207768721288005906717.jpgWe spent most of the morning outside since the weather was absolutely beautiful compared to the colder temperatures we had recently experienced.20191115_1112195585256185850888305.jpgI ended up getting rid of over 100 items (I stopped counting after 100) between throwing out broken toys/ items and donating to Goodwill.20191115_1606325317016461935618533.jpgSide note: these chairs are NOT included in the decluttering process.

I took advantage of the warmer weather to not only declutter the shed, but to also get all of the Christmas decor out of the shed. 20191115_1626236214944917884183852.jpgMy oldest had been begging to put up the Christmas tree for the past two weeks. 20191118_2040226556718589254376990.jpgI told her I wanted to wait until after the twins birthday. 20191118_2040043118461882660164787.jpgYes, you heard that right.

Just like that, the twins turned TWO last week. ❤20191112_1023091240026873106979051.jpgWe kept it sweet and simple and had donuts for breakfast on their actual birthday.20191118_2203452439963513472752955.jpgThe day before, my oldest was off from school for Veteran’s day and we went to an indoor playground, which they naturally had a blast at.20191111_115212355797060645011156.jpgI wanted to keep things a bit more simple for this year.

After we got home from the indoor playground, my oldest and I baked cupcakes, She really enjoyed getting to do something special for her “babies” as she calls them. 20191111_205105322895659233662844.jpgMy oldest even thanked me for taking them to the indoor park and letting her help bake the cupcakes. It’s little moments like these that lets me know that I’m doing something right as a mom.

As the holidays are approaching, I really want to focus on making memories and creating traditions with the kids.20191118_2038266629661730993840738.jpgFocusing on experiences rather then actual “things.”

When I look back on my own childhood, it’s the moments and feelings I remember most, not any particular items themselves.
